Subject: Very FUNKY in Arkansas
A short but Inspired and Enjoyable show. I love to follow Peter’s post show Box Score and had these to add. In my first listening l heard a Slipknot tease between The 11 and IKYR. It was strong enough that I was surprised when they started IKYR. In subsequent listenings I can’t find it. 🤦🏼♂️
Leading into Help on the Way, you can heard Marco suggest Slipknot at 00:10 and then Tom teases the Oriental Riff at 00:30.
Throwing Stones at the 11:24 mark goes into a 70’s Funk Shuffle, reminiscent of The Spinner’s - Could it be I’m Falling in Love.
Shakedown is the Funk Knockout Punch. At 09:00 Tom goes into Standing on the Verge of Getting it On - PFunk. This flows into a cool Point/Muted Counterpoint guitar transaction between Tom and Scott. Before returning to the Shakedown finale they tease Walk the Dinosaur - Was (Not Was).
This is currently my Favorite Band (sorry Grateful Dead). The Passion and Imagination demonstrated are Inspirational.
Dave
